What’s on?
We have a range of friendly meet-ups and fun sessions for older people that help social connections, as well as physical and mental wellbeing. Is it your first time joining us and are you feeling anxious? Please don’t worry and just let us know! We will support you to attend, give you a very warm welcome and introduce you to like-minded people who also remember what it was like coming the first time.
Friends of Horsham Park
If you enjoy
gardening and preserving wildlife, why not join our volunteer group?
We meet on Wednesday mornings from 9.30-12.30 – though you don’t need to commit to every week or the whole session. The idea is that you come when you can, for as long as is right for you.
Horsham District Council’s Parks and Countryside team support us and we are a sociable group. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary – it’s a great opportunity to learn from horticultural/conservation experts and make some new friends. Tools are provided but please wear gardening clothes and thick-soled shoes or boots.
We meet in the Jubilee car park next to the entrance sign to the Human Nature Garden. Parking permits are available for the duration of the activity.
If you would like to join us contact Sally Sanderson at chair@friendsofhorshampark.co.uk or for more information, download a leaflet which answers common questions like what should I wear? Volunteer leaflet and Q&A
