Horsham District’s free Winter Warm Ups

Horsham District’s free ‘Winter Warm Ups’ are taking place this October – one in the south and one for the north of the district, and we have additional free transport options built into the day to help people from neighbouring areas to get to them. These free events are designed for the over 50’s who want to get healthier and more active but don’t fancy going to the gym. It offers them an opportunity to discover alternative fun ways to stay active!

With a packed programme of free taster sessions on offer – from ‘Archery’ to ‘Aerobics’, ‘Wreath making’ to ‘Wall climbing, ‘Singing’ to ‘Short mat bowls’– there’s something for everyone.

There will also be activities that people might not expect to find at a leisure centre, as people attending will be able to…

–          get free health MOT checks (blood pressure, Health and Wellbeing MOT’s)

–          grab a Flu and/or Covid jab (qualifying criteria apply),

–          browse around the community marketplace to discover the wealth of information, opportunities and help available within the district

–          and also get a delicious free light lunch of fresh hot soup, a lovely bread roll and piece of cake too, to ward away the winter chills and replenish energy for the afternoon sessions.

Our Winter Warm Ups are taking place at:

  • The Bridge in Broadbridge Heath on Tuesday 21 October10am-3:30pm

Horsham Town Wildway Trails

Welcome to Horsham Town’s Wildways Trails!

Our first two trails start in Horsham Park, one travelling east to Harwood Road and the other traveling west to Cootes Farm. The trails run very close to the Owlbeech to Hills Farm Wildway route and showcase our beautiful green spaces.

Our third trail is a circular walk, starting and finishing near Horsham Museum in The Causeway, which showcases the huge diversity of wildlife that is established in the centre of Horsham Town.

Our fourth trail is a countryside walk through the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just to the north-east of Horsham Town. We are very fortunate to have such rich countryside so close to the town. Click on the link for more information:
